Environment Canada has advised – “A strong, slow-moving snow squall band off Lake Huron and Georgian Bay will persist through much of the day today. This snow squall will continue to bring significant snowfall amounts to areas southeast of Georgian Bay. Travel under the heaviest bands is expected to be difficult to nearly impossible at times.”

“Travel along portions of highway 17 between Sault Ste. Marie and Montreal River Harbour will remain hazardous until snow squall activity begins to weaken this evening.” states Environment Canada.
