Travel expected to be hazardous in regions surrounding Lake Huron, Georgian Bay, Sault Ste Marie and Lake Nipigon as a multi day snow event is underway.  Some areas may see up to 100cm of snow by Sunday!

BRITISH COLUBMIA

Environment Canada has issued the following statement – “A low pressure system will approach the North Coast on Friday as a ridge of high pressure builds over the B.C. interior. Strong southerly winds along coastal areas, strong cold outflow winds through mainland inlets and valleys, heavy rain at coastal areas, and precipitation encountering cold outflow winds leading to heavy snow and a risk of freezing rain are possible as the system moves onshore.”

ALBERTA

Snowfall warning in effect for northwest areas of Alberta. Total amounts of 20 to 30 centimeters is expected, between Thursday night and Monday. Snow will become very light Friday night but is expected to intensify again on Saturday and will continue through the weekend. Visibility may be reduced at times in heavy snowfall. Be prepared to adjust your driving to changing road conditions.” via Alberta 511.
